		<description>Social media and collaboration tools scare the hell out of governments. The appropriate top down management tools aren&#039;t available to them. 

David Eaves&#039; suggestion that the government simply hire Facebook to create a government version is practical, efficient and cost effective. All the reasons why they most likely will never do it.  My guess, if someone in government was actually forward thinking enough to trial something like this, is that we would end up with a VERY expensive internal system that would do less, cost more and be used by few. Nature of the beast.
