About the Authors
Keelan Green
Keelan Green is President of Thornley Fallis & 76design. He joined the firm in 2002 after several years in the federal government. He leads many of the firm’s top accounts, including Lockheed Martin, Ford, Enstream, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, a variety of Government of Canada organizations and the City of Ottawa. In 2008, Keelan was selected as one of Ottawa’s “Top 40 Under 40” by the Ottawa Business Journal. A native of Ottawa, he serves on several volunteer boards and committees, and is President of the Canadian Public Relations Society Ottawa/Gatineau Chapter. A graduate of Acadia University, Keelan is an avid golfer at Rivermead Golf Club and plays on two rec league hockey teams. He lives in downtown Ottawa with wife Laura and son Peyton.
LeeEllen Carroll
LeeEllen Carroll is a Vice-President with Thornley Fallis. She joined the firm after 12 years with CTV National News covering Parliament Hill, including 8 as Ottawa Bureau Manager. Before that, she worked for ABC News in London, England for 4 years. She holds degrees in Broadcast Journalism from British Columbia Institute of Technology and Political Science from York University. She volunteers with a variety of organizations and is a concert, theatre and outdoor sports enthusiast.
Bradley Moseley-Williams
Bradley Moseley-Williams is a Senior Consultant in the Ottawa office of Thornley Fallis Communications. A public relations counselor with 20 years experience he is a writer, blogger, public speaker and thinker about public relations, lifestyle, media and other topics. His articles have appeared in The X Journal; XTRA!; ICON; ICE and various zines, blogs and social media sites.
Carrie Croft
Carrie is a Consultant with Thornley Fallis. She joined the firm in 2010 following her role as Supervisor of Operations Communications for the Vancouver Organizing Committee at the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Carrie’s other professional experience includes Regional Event Director for the Mitsubishi City Chase and Campus Chase, Press Manager for the FIL Veissmann Luge World Cup, Media Services Manager for the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships, and Consultant with Interplay Creative Media. Carrie volunteers her time for numerous organizations and charity events, including the 2011 Canada Games, The Hill Fights Hunger, Capital Fashion Week, the Ontario Summer Games, the FIFA U20 World Cup, and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Ottawa Chapter, where she has been instrumental in the organization and execution of the annual awards gala. She was a 2009 YMCA Women of Distinction nominee.
Samantha Hartley
Samantha Hartley is an Account Coordinator with Thornley Fallis. She joined the firm in 2010 after graduating from the Public Relations program at Algonquin College. A social media enthusiast, Sam maintains a personal blog . She also enjoys writing about communication practices, social media, health and lifestyle, and has had articles appear in several local print publications and online news sources.
Stephen Heckbert
Stephen Heckbert is an Associate Consultant with Thornley Fallis. His full-time job is heading-up the Public Relations Program at Algonquin College. Past experience includes Director of Communication in the Minister’s Office at Citizenship and Immigration, Human Resources and Skills Development, and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. Before that, he was Vice-President of Communications for EDS Canada, Vice-President at Atlantic Canada’s leading PR and advertising firm, Director of Communications to New Brunswick’s Minister or Finance and a journalist in northern New Brunswick and Sherbrooke, Quebec. A native of PEI, he is an accredited public relations (APR) practitioner, holds a bachelors degree in English and Philosophy from UPEI and completed studies for a Masters in Journalism at Carleton University.
